Opened in 1925 as a simple fish camp, it is now the only waterfront dining spot on the lake. With boat rentals, a full marina, and a dockside restaurant, it is the gathering place for locals and visitors alike. Fuel up, grab a table, and take in the view that generations have enjoyed
Anchorage Marina
Anchorage Marina has been part of Lake Burton life since 1966
Owned by the Poole family, it is the oldest and largest marina on the lake. Known for gas, snacks, and the best ice cream stop around, it is also filled with Lake Burton gear and essentials
A new restaurant is in the works, thanks to Emma Poole, granddaughter of Charles and Suzanne Poole
This new chapter carries on the Poole family’s love for the lake and their commitment to serving the community
Sundays on the water
Every Sunday from spring through fall, boats gather at the tip of Moccasin Creek State Park for something special
Boat Church brings people together under the pavilion to worship in a setting that feels sacred all on its own
There is no dress code. Just swimsuits, sunhats, and open hearts
Some people sing with harmony and others sing with joy. Hymns rise above the water and echo across the cove
